Membership Information

The BDWN monthly meetings include a guest speaker who provides insight and discussion opportunities on a set aspect of the art and craft of writing.

Workshops

Workshops are led by professionals providing an opportunity for members to further develop their skills in an informal, supportive environment.

Critique Sessions

BDWN holds three to four critiquing sessions at various meetings throughout the year, providing constructive feedback to writers.

Monthly Newsletter

Bringing up-to-date information, the latest happenings, inspiring thoughts and articles for membership improvement.

Writers Conference

Sponsored by BDWN, Write it Right features workshops and an opportunity to interact with other writers. It is an all day event followed by a book fair.

Author Panels

A special event where BDWN authors share their experiences with writing, publishing and marketing their books. Along with a question and answer segment.

Appearance Opportunities

The BDWN arranges for appearance opportunities at Library Writers Days, various street fairs. New this year Book Launch events.

Media Exposure

BDWN is reaching out to local media within the Schuylkill, Berks, Carbon, and Luzerne Counties to offer newspapers, radio stations and television outlets an opportunity to feature our writers.

Web Site presence

Member writers will be given their own Authors Page on this website, to feature a brief bio, cover art of their books, a brief description of the book and where the public can purchase the book.
